Radiometric Calibration

Radiometric calibration quantifies the amount of light measured by a sensor. It is important for converting sensor acquired digital numbers to engineering units, such as radiance. Radiometric calibration is necessary to put values acquired by different camera systems on the same scale and can provide correction for lens effects (e.g. lens roll-off), camera readout electronics, bad pixels, and focal plane defects.

These services can be obtained individually or as a package. For cameras, these services may also be combined with the other calibration services offered by I2R (geometry and spatial resolution), to provide a full product level camera system calibration.
